Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares an easy and straightforward techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture along with the natural environment. While living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic adventure. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full period of time in Italy taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In Italy, she developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian food and culture. This is a huge influence on the way she prepares her food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of struggling children. Burrell is also an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she has a mission to raise awareness for juvenile diabetics. She has been a frequent to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne always felt fortunate that she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
